You'll spend more time finding records than creating them. These tools make it fast.

The search bar at the top of every page searches everything at once: accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, cases, products, contracts, knowledge articles, even files.

  • Press / or Ctrl+K (Mac: +K) to focus the search bar from anywhere.
  • Start typing — results appear after 2 characters.
  • Use to navigate, Enter to open.

What gets searched

Search reads visible records only — sharing rules and field-level security apply. You can't accidentally find records you're not allowed to see.

📋 List views

Every object has list views (Leads, Opportunities, etc.). They share the same controls.

Built-in vs personal vs shared

  • Built-in views ship with the system (All Open Opportunities, Pending My Approval).
  • Personal views are saved for just you.
  • Shared views are saved for a group or the whole org (admin permission required).

Filtering

Click Filters to add criteria. Each row is a field operator value predicate, combined with AND by default.

Operators include: equals, not equals, contains, starts with, in list, is empty, >, <, between, in last N days, in role hierarchy.

You can switch the join from AND to OR with the toggle, or use Advanced for complex logic with parentheses.

Saving a view

After tweaking filters / columns / sort:

  1. Click Save as.
  2. Name it (e.g., "My deals closing this quarter").
  3. Pick visibility — private / share with group / share with org.

Your saved views appear in the dropdown next to the list-view name.

Bulk actions on list views

Tick the checkboxes (or "select all matching filter") and use:

  • Mass edit — update the same field on N records.
  • Mass delete — admin only on most objects.
  • Mass assign — change owner.
  • Add to campaign — for leads / contacts.
  • Export — CSV / Excel.
  • AI skills — bulk-run a skill (e.g., qualify 100 leads at once).

📌 Pinning, favourites, and recent

  • Pin any record, view, or report (star icon) — shows in your left-nav favourites.
  • Recent — your last 20 visited records, always one click away.
  • Following — records you've followed for activity-feed notifications.

🗂️ App launcher

Click the app launcher (top-left grid icon) to switch apps:

  • Enterprise CRM — daily user app.
  • Admin — for sysadmins.
  • Custom apps — any apps your admin built.

You can drag apps to reorder; pin your most-used app as the default.

🧭 Personalising your home

Right-click any dashboard tile → Pin to home. Build a Home that fits your role:

  • Reps: Today's tasks, My pipeline, Latest activity.
  • Managers: Team pipeline, Slipping deals, SLA risks.
  • Execs: Bookings vs plan, Top accounts, Renewal pipeline.

Tips

  • ✅ Use ⌘K as your one universal entry point — faster than clicking.
  • ✅ Save three personal views per object you use daily — My open, Today, Stale.
  • ✅ Pin your top dashboard so it loads on every login.
  • ✅ Don't fight the filters — if you keep refiltering, save the view.
